The Chime Visa® Debit Card is linked to a Chime Checking Account. It is designed for everyday purchases and digital money management.
Chime states that the account has no monthly maintenance fees and no minimum balance requirement. However, fees may apply in some situations, including withdrawals at out-of-network ATMs.
With eligible direct deposits, members may receive their pay up to two days early. Early availability depends on when the payer submits the payment file, so it is not guaranteed for every pay period.
The Chime mobile app lets users review transactions and receive real-time alerts. Users can also disable card transactions if their card is misplaced.
Eligible users may access a virtual debit card for digital purchases before the physical card arrives.
Chime advertises access to more than 47,000 fee-free ATMs at participating locations. Out-of-network ATM withdrawal fees may apply, so users should check the ATM network before withdrawing cash.
The card can be used wherever Visa® debit cards are accepted. Chime is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services are provided by The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A., Members FDIC.
